I won a Giveaway!

One thing I love about the beauty blogging community is (virtually) meeting so many friendly, kind and talented fellow bloggers.

I recently came across this blog and boy am I glad I did.
The generous Daniella had a make-up give-away when she reached 25 followers, and lucky me was the winner.

Have a look at what I won.

MUA pastel palette and Revlon Lip Butter in Macaroon.

Many Thanks to Daniella, this gift is very much appreciated.

I may do a look/FOTD post featuring these products. Would you be interested?

River Island Summer Wishlist

Some days could be spent sitting on front of my laptop for hours checking out the latest fashion finds on-line.
One of my favourite stores is River Island. I was rummaging through their website this morning and I came across far too many items that I would love to just pop into my basket...why does this all ways happen just before payday??

Firstly, I saw this beautiful structured dress with pink floral print. This would be perfect for summer nights out, or for my holiday/vacation. How gorgeous!

Speaking of holidays, I am actually going back to Ibiza at the end of summer. Check out this amazing monokini from the Pacha collection.

Next up, 16cm wedges. Hella High! But they look ever so pretty.

Dip Dye and Dip Hems are everywhere you look this summer, combine them and voilĂ .
Maxi skirt with dip hem and yellow dip dye.

Last but certainly not least, a beige croc weekend bag.
Very sleek.

All items can be found at http://www.riverisland.com

That's all for now beauties.

Patriotism

As some of you may know the UEFA Euro 2012 Football Championship has begun.
I know...you are probably thinking "why is she talking about football on a beauty blog?"
Well I saw this as a chance to get my green nail varnish out as I am proud to be Irish.

I went for something a little different, I like to call it a....Green tip manicure?

Last but not least. A quick pic of me in our local pub watching an Ireland match. On this occasion I had green, orange and white on my nails. How Irish of me, I should have just dressed up as a leprechaun. hehe!

PS. I don't really drink Guinness but since I was doing my country proud I decided to steal my boyfs pint for the photo.

On the down side Ireland didn't win any three of the games they played :-(
O well life goes on...

Have any of you done any nail art or make-up in support for your country during special events? If so I would love to see pictures or links.

They call me mellow yellow

The sun has just stopped shining here in Ireland and we are back to doom and gloom.

To cheer myself up I decided to have a look through my latest holiday purchases.
Here are a few items I bought for my next holiday/vacation.

Colour of the moment has got to be bright yellow.
Check out my latest summer purchases, all yellow of course.

Primark/Penneys Bikini only €5, all I need now is a tan.

Whilst on away in Portugal we visited a great shopping centre on the Algarve coast. There were shops such as Zara, Sephora, Bershka and many others. I purchased these shorts at Mango priced €19.99.Amazing colour and great quality.

Do you like bright colours for the summer?

1000 Kisses from Rimmel

As some of you may know I was abroad recently. Myself, my family and my boyfriend planned a week away to the beautiful Algarvian town of Albuferia in Portugal. When abroad in the sunshine I love to use lip tints or stains as they have great staying power.I treated myself to a few little holidays goodies before our trip and this was one of my purchases. Rimmels Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses.

I have read many reviews on the new Rimmel Lip Tint, all mainly positive and I have to agree.

Like many other lip tints/stains it is double sided. One side is the felt tip marker pen that applys the stain to your lips and the other side is a balm. The balm keeps your lips hydrated while the colour stays put.

I choose the shade Timeless Tango. My lips are naturally quiet pigmented so I needed a colour that had enough depth to stain my lips. This colour can pack a punch when first applied.

Non transferable formula and a pen applicator is great for precise application.

Rimmel are slowly but surely working their way up in my estimations.
I am tempted to try out Rimmels wake-me-up foundation.
What other Rimmel products would you recommend?

Khroma Beauty

Google images

I am sure those of you reading this post are aware of the famous Kardashian sisters. Their careers range in everything from television personality's, business women and models. Their next big launch is their very own make-up line. This is a really exciting product launch for the three sisters how have been playing with their own mothers make-up from a young age. Make-up is a huge part of Kims, Khloes and Kourtneys lives as every moment of their days are captured either by film or photography. The launch is expected to happen at some stage next year and I am pretty damn sure it will be a huge hit.

Are you guys looking forward to seeing the Kardashian sisters make-up line?

Would you rather - tag

Google images

Tag - Would you rather

#1. Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up, or nice hair and no make-up?
hmm, I had think about this one. My hair is always kind of wavy and messy, so I suppose I would rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up.

#2. Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?
ahh, scary question. If I really have to pick it would have to be shaving my eyebrow, because I could always draw them on but couldn't live without my eyelashes.

#3. Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life? Well seen as we don't actually have Sephora here in Ireland. I wouldn't mind been forced into shopping at MAC for the rest of my life.

#4. Would you rather wear the lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?
Lip-gloss/lip-liner look any day :-)

#5. Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?
These questions are so tricky!! Finding this really hard to type but I would probably prefer to leave the house with an obvious foundation line... and just make sure to wear my hair down hehe

#6. Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?
MC Hammer pants.. (cringing as I type)

#7. Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?
Maybe a bad orange spray tan.Wear clothes that cover me up and just try to tone it down .

#8. Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair colour?
Bad hair colour because you always get that sorted in the hairdressers :-)

#9. Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever?
I would rather have twitter taken away because I love watching tutorials on-line.. but then I do love the interactions on twitter. oh its a hard one.

#10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?
I would have to say make-up brushes. I do hate using my hands when applying certain make-up item and don't even get me started on how to apply blush or bronzer with fingers??hehe. I cant live without my mascara. Lancome Hypnose all the way.

O man, this has got to be the toughest tag Ive done... I think I cringed the whole way through... Well done to who ever created it because I really enjoyed it weirdly enough.

I hope you guys enjoy it to. If you are a fellow Beauty Blogger why don't you give it ago.

Empties #1

My first empties blogpost.

For those of you that have not seen seen a blogpost like this before it is basically a review of the products you have recently finished or emptied... hence the name Empties :-)

This may not be a beauty full-filled post but I decided to go ahead with it anyway as I love reading reviews of  used products.

L'oreal Elvive Full Restore Replenishing Shampoo

Just an average L'oreal Shampoo, didn't feel like it replenished or restored my hair to great strengths.
One thing I did like about is that it really lathers up which made it feel like it washed my hair very well.

Johnsons 24hr Moisture Radiance Body Wash

I love Johnsons body washes. I nearly always use the original as it is super gentle on my skin. This wash contains shea and coco butters, so you can image it is rich and very moisturising. I would definitely purchase again.

Original Source White Pear and Avocado Shower Cream

Another Shower Wash. I should just show you everything in my shower :-). Original Source shower gels are  perfect for sensitive skin as they are natural. The white pear and avocado wash is really creamy and the scent is very luxurious.

Trevor Sorbie Beautiful Volume, Volumising Mousse

I bought this little miniature mousse when it was on clearance for about a €1, looking back now I wish I had bought more. Its amazing, it actually does give your hair volume. I apply it towel dried hair every time I wash  my hair. Once blow-dried you can see the difference, and we all love a bit a volume :-)

I hope you have enjoyed this post.
From now on I am going to save all my empties and do regular blogposts like this for you.
